2026 Edition — Fourth Edition on October 10 and 11
The Reims Champagne Run returns for its fourth edition on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026. After a record-breaking 2025 edition (over 23,000 participants across all events), the event organized by Playground Event once again offers a full weekend of running between Reims' heritage and the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims.
Seven Events over Two Days
Saturday is dedicated to trail formats starting from the nature course, with the Sacré Trail 87 km (ultra with 1,300 m of positive elevation gain through the Parc naturel régional de la Montagne de Reims), a new Sacré Trail 42 km in marathon-trail format, the Sacré Trail Relais à 4 (4-person relay), and the children's race P'tits Rèmes (3 km). Sunday morning brings together the road events: the Semi des Rois (21.1 km), the 10K de Rémus, and the 5 km Matmut at a free pace.
Registrations
Registrations opened on February 5, 2026, and are done online via the official platform. Prices evolve in tiers: the earlier you register, the more advantageous the price. The 5 km and the P'tits Rèmes children's race are free.

Reims Champagne Run: Running at the Heart of Champagne Heritage
The Reims Champagne Run was born in 2023 from the City of Reims' desire to rethink its running weekend. Entrusted to the company Playground, the event was designed to showcase the green and architectural heritage of the "city of coronations" while minimizing the environmental impact of urban races. From its very first edition, over 13,000 runners responded, confirming the attractiveness of this new format.
Races for All Levels
The Reims Champagne Run offers no less than eight races spread over a full weekend. From the free 5 km at a leisurely pace accessible to everyone, to the legendary 87 km Sacré Trail crossing 37 municipalities in the Grand Reims area, including the 10 km, half-marathon, and marathon, every runner can find a challenge suited to their level. A four-person relay on the Sacré Trail distance and a children's race complete the program.
An Exceptional Course Between City and Nature
The race routes take participants through the emblematic streets of Reims, passing by Notre-Dame Cathedral, Porte de Mars, and the great champagne houses, before heading out to the Regional Natural Park of Montagne de Reims. Trail runners will navigate through forests, vineyards, and wine-growing villages, with aid stations set up in exceptional locations. The trail starts from the CREPS of Reims, while the race village is located at Place de la Porte de Mars.
An Eco-Responsible Event
True to its commitments, the Reims Champagne Run places environmental responsibility at the core of its organization. Waste reduction, short supply chains for refreshments, promotion of public transport, and partnerships with local sustainable development stakeholders are integral to the event's DNA. Each edition strives to improve its ecological footprint while offering a memorable running experience.
A Major Economic and Tourist Impact
Beyond the sporting dimension, the Reims Champagne Run is a real economic driver for the region. The event attracts runners from all over France and abroad, who take advantage of their stay to discover the riches of Champagne: cellar tours, tastings, historical heritage. Hotels and restaurants in the city are fully booked on race weekend, demonstrating the growing appeal of this event.
