The world in shows at the heart of Reims
Born in 2020 from the collective will of seven Reims cultural institutions, FARaway - Festival des Arts à Reims is an international multidisciplinary festival that transforms the city into a vast playground for artistic discoveries. La Cartonnerie, Césaré, La Comédie, FRAC Champagne-Ardenne, Le Manège, Nova Villa, and Opéra de Reims join forces to offer an ambitious program open to the world.
FARaway's unique feature is its invited country concept: each edition highlights the artistic scene of a country or region of the world. The 2025 edition explored the scenes of Northern Europe, from the Baltic countries to the British Isles and the Nordic countries. The 2026 edition, the festival's 7th, will be dedicated to Argentina, with a captivating program showcasing the richness and diversity of Argentine artistic creation.
The festival unfolds across more than ten stages spread throughout the city of Reims and its surroundings: La Comédie, Opéra de Reims, Le Manège, La Cartonnerie, Césaré, Nova Villa, FRAC Champagne-Ardenne, and Saint-Ex. This festival geography allows for around thirty shows in various settings, from intimate theater to large halls, as well as exhibition spaces and alternative venues.
FARaway is committed to cultural accessibility with attractive prices, notably the 3-show Pass for €30 (€15 for students and job seekers), making each show €10. The festival also offers meetings with artists, workshops, and free events, fostering dialogue between creators and the Reims public.
The 7th edition of FARaway, from January 27 to February 7, 2026, will be dedicated to Argentina. This captivating edition will highlight the richness and diversity of the Argentine artistic scene, with around thirty shows and over 150 invited artists on the stages of Reims.
The festival takes place in several venues in Reims: La Comédie, Opéra de Reims, Le Manège (2 boulevard du Général Leclerc), La Cartonnerie (84 rue du Dr Lemoine), Césaré, Nova Villa, FRAC Champagne-Ardenne, and Saint-Ex. Reims is accessible by TGV from Paris (45 minutes). The performance venues are easily accessible by public transport or on foot.
