A festival on the Valois Greenway
The Festival de la Voix Verte takes its name from a play on words between voix (voice/singing) and Voie Verte (greenway), the former railway line turned cycle and walking path that crosses the Valois region in southern Oise, between Mareuil-sur-Ourcq and Ormoy-Villers. Since 2018, it has enlivened this greenway for a single day each September.
From the first edition to the association
The festival began in 2018 at the initiative of the Betz town hall with a simple idea: to bring together local artists, community groups, and volunteers for a free day of celebration. The success of this first edition led to the creation of the association Festival de Betz, which has managed the event ever since. The 2019 edition expanded to include a local producers' market and attracted over 2,000 visitors.
A day on the greenway
From 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, the Voie Verte hosts concerts, entertainment, a producers' and craft market, and food areas spread along the route. Visitors can travel between points on foot or by bike.
Local artists and community groups
The festival features local artists and partners with regional associations, which host stands and assist with organization. The refreshment bar is run by local Betz associations.
A free festival
Admission is free, as is parking. Some activities may have a fee: in 2025, access to the family village cost €3 for a single entry and €5 for an all-day pass, with free entry for children under 3.
