Musical and festive festival on the Voie Verte of Betz in the Valois
The Festival de la Voix Verte gets its name from a play on words between voix (voice, song, music) and the Voie Verte (Green Way), this former railway line converted into a cycle and pedestrian path that crosses the Valois in the south of the Oise, between Mareuil-sur-Ourcq and Ormoy-Villers. Since 2018, this festive and free event has enlivened this green way for a day in September.
From 11 am to 11 pm, the Voie Verte transforms into a vast open-air celebration space. Concerts of various music genres, activities for all ages, stalls of local artisans and producers, and food areas line the route. Visitors can stroll on foot or by bike between the different offerings, enjoying the rural and green setting of the Voie Verte.
The festival showcases local artists and territorial associations, who voluntarily contribute to the event's success. Musicians, singers, artisans, producers, and animators come together in a spirit of sharing and conviviality that is the strength of this gathering.
The Festival de la Voix Verte is organized annually as part of the European Heritage Days, highlighting the heritage dimension of the Voie Verte and the Valois landscape. It's an opportunity to rediscover this natural and railway heritage in a festive and relaxed atmosphere.
Access to the festival is completely free. Designed for all audiences, it offers activities suitable for children, relaxation areas, and on-site catering, allowing you to fully enjoy a day of celebration in the heart of nature.
The 7th edition of the Festival de la Voix Verte takes place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, on the Voie Verte of Betz, as part of the European Heritage Days. From 11 am to 11 pm, concerts, activities, and stalls will liven up this former railway line transformed into a festive and rural setting.
