Edition 2024 — Music and History
The 18th edition of the Festival Music and History was held from July 15 to 18, 2024, at the Abbaye de Fontfroide, under the direction of Jordi Savall. The program included concerts with Hespèrion XXI, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Le Concert des Nations, and Orpheus 21. Programs focused on Maurice Ravel, Marco Polo and the Silk Road, and psalms of peace.
Festival Music and History 2024 — 18th Edition
From July 15 to 18, 2024, the Abbaye de Fontfroide hosted the 18th edition of the Festival Music and History, under the artistic direction of Jordi Savall. The concerts featured the ensembles Hespèrion XXI, La Capella Reial de Catalunya, Le Concert des Nations, and Orpheus 21.
The program explored diverse repertoires around Maurice Ravel, Marco Polo and the Silk Road, and psalms of peace, in a constant quest for dialogue between cultures and eras. Concerts took place at 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM in the enchanting setting of the Cistercian abbey.
