Edition 2025 — Résonance
The 2025 edition of the Festival Résonance took place from September 17 to 20 in Avignon, taking over the heritage sites of the City of Popes — including the Palais des Papes, the Pont Saint-Bénézet, and the Collection Lambert — for four nights of electronic music and digital arts featuring Superpoze and Busy P among others.
2025 Edition — Four Nights in Avignon's Monuments, September 17-20
From September 17 to 20, the Festival Résonance 2025 took over Avignon's heritage sites for its new edition, true to its founding principle: to create a dialogue between the most impressive architectures of the City of Popes and contemporary electronic and digital cultures.
Exceptional Venues as Night Stages
The Palais des Papes, whose monumental volumes create striking natural acoustics, hosted the edition's headliners. The medieval halls of the palace — chapels, reception rooms, inner courtyards — were transformed into concert and immersive performance spaces, with light installations playing on the stone vaults and ramparts.
The Pont Saint-Bénézet, suspended over the Rhône with its iconic silhouette recognized worldwide, offered a vertiginous setting for a high-altitude set. The Collection Lambert, a contemporary art museum in the heart of Avignon, hosted programming consistent with its collections, blending visual arts and experimental music.
Artistic Programming
Superpoze, a French musician and producer known for his melancholic compositions blending piano, electronics, and orchestrations, delivered one of the festival's most anticipated performances. Busy P, founder of the legendary Ed Banger Records label and a key figure in the French electronic scene, electrified another night of the festival.
These headliners were joined by artists with diverse universes, from minimal techno to ambient, as well as audiovisual performances and interactive sound installations, confirming the festival's eclectic and demanding artistic direction.
Digital Arts and Immersive Staging
Each edition of Résonance stands out for the quality of its staging. In 2025, visual artists and technical teams designed specific installations for each venue, playing with projections, lights, and architecture to create unprecedented sensory environments. The coherence between the music and the venue — fundamental to the festival's identity — was once again present.
