About Résonance
Résonance — edition 2026
The Résonance Festival returns to Avignon from September 17th to 20th, 2026, with four events spread across the city. The edition kicks off with a free opening in the gardens of the Villa Créative featuring AMs and Solere, continues at the Collection Lambert with DJ sets by Troublemakers and David Walters, then moves to the Espace Jeanne Laurent for a house music night led by Amour Propre, Lilya Mandre, and Cami G, before a Sunday closing featuring eight hours of music with Theaz, Kanny White, and Black Noché, coinciding with the European Heritage Days.
2026 Edition — September 17th to 20th in Avignon
For its 2026 edition, Résonance presents four evenings blending heritage and electronic culture from Thursday, September 17th, to Sunday, September 20th. The festival will take place in three iconic venues: the gardens of the Villa Créative, the Collection Lambert, and the Espace Jeanne Laurent.
A Free Open-Air Opening
The festivities begin on Thursday, September 17th, in the gardens of the Villa Créative from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. AMs, a DJ and producer from the new generation, will showcase her committed and inclusive vision of club culture, while Solere will present a semi-improvised melodic techno live set built from his own creations. This event, organized in partnership with the University of Avignon, is free and open to everyone.
Troublemakers and David Walters at the Collection Lambert
On Friday, September 18th, from 8:00 PM to midnight, Résonance moves to the Collection Lambert, one of Europe's most significant contemporary art centers. The festival welcomes the Marseille-based trio Troublemakers—Lionel Corsini (DJ Oil), Fred Berthet (DJ Steef), and Arnaud Taillefer (NoLa)—whose debut album Doubts & Convictions is being re-released in 2026 as a remastered edition for its 25th anniversary. They will also unveil the first tracks from a new album expected in 2027. Joining them is David Walters, a key figure in the Afro-Caribbean scene, delivering a generous and borderless DJ set. The evening is organized in collaboration with the Collection Lambert.
House Music at the Espace Jeanne Laurent
On Saturday, September 19th, at 9:00 PM, the festival heads to the prestigious Espace Jeanne Laurent, located in the heart of the world's largest Gothic palace, for an evening dedicated entirely to house music with Amour Propre, Lilya Mandre, and Cami G.
Sunday Closing During Heritage Days
On Sunday, September 20th, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Résonance returns to the Espace Jeanne Laurent and its terrace for an afternoon mixing house music, heritage, and food, featuring local collectives Theaz (Bassline), Kanny White (Meraki), and Black Noché. The program includes eight hours of music, a panoramic view of Avignon's historic sites, free and exclusive access to the Pont d'Avignon for the European Heritage Days, and food options by Première Édition. Entry is free from noon to 3:00 PM, subject to availability.
Ticketing
Tickets are sold on a per-evening basis via the festival's page on Shotgun. Tickets for the September 18th event at the Collection Lambert start at €19 and are available in limited quantities.

Résonance: When Electronic Music Takes Over Avignon's Heritage
Born in 2009 on the initiative of electronic culture and heritage enthusiasts, the Festival Résonance invented a unique format: setting up stages for electronic music, audiovisual performance, and digital arts in Avignon's most emblematic and historically rich sites.
The festival's founding intuition is that of a dialogue between two temporalities: the immediacy of electronic culture, born from urban nights and new technologies, and the historical depth of the places — some of the most impressive monuments of medieval France. From this encounter, something unique is born: a sensory and emotional experience that neither an ordinary club nor a traditional museum visit could provide.
Exceptional Venues Transformed into Night Stages
Each edition of the festival takes over a selection of Avignon's heritage sites, redefining the nocturnal map of the City of Popes:
- The Palais des Papes: The most imposing Gothic monument of the medieval world, residence of the Avignon Popes in the 14th century. Its vaulted halls, towers, and inner courtyards are ideal for an ambitious program that enhances the monumentality of the place.
- The Pont Saint-Bénézet: The famous bridge of Avignon, an iconic UNESCO World Heritage site, transforms for one night into a stage suspended above the Rhône.
- The Collection Lambert: One of the most important contemporary art museums in southern France, housed in an 18th-century private mansion. Its programming naturally aligns with the festival's approach.
- The Musée Calvet and the Musée du Petit Palais: These museum institutions open their spaces for immersive installations and nocturnal sound performances.
Each venue is uniquely staged, with light and audiovisual installations interacting with the architecture to create unprecedented environments, redesigned each year.
A Demanding and Eclectic Electronic Program
The musical program of the Festival Résonance covers a wide spectrum of contemporary electronic music, from techno and house to ambient, musique concrète, live digital art performances, and immersive experiences. The festival is committed to programming both internationally renowned artists and emerging talents, prioritizing artistic quality and thematic coherence.
Artists such as Superpoze and Busy P were featured in the 2025 edition's lineup, alongside other key players in the French and international electronic scene. The festival pays particular attention to hybrid forms that blend music, visual arts, and performance, in line with the evolution of contemporary digital cultures.
A Festival Committed to Sustainable Development
For several years, Résonance has been committed to a coherent environmental approach: waste reduction, energy sobriety, promotion of soft mobility, and selection of local service providers. The festival collaborates with the City of Avignon and the Palais des Papes to integrate its approach into the territory's sustainable development policies.
A Festival Rooted in the History of the Avignon Festival
Avignon is a city of festivals. Since 1947, the Festival d'Avignon has established the tradition of major summer cultural events there. Résonance is part of this heritage while offering an alternative to the dominant forms of theatrical expression: an electronic, nocturnal, and participatory response to the festival vocation of the City of Popes.
