Edition 2025 — Saint-Pierre
2025 edition of the Fête de la Mer et de la Saint-Pierre in Martigues. Three days of maritime festivities with sardine feasts, procession and blessing of the sea, fishermen's mass, old-fashioned games, rowing challenge, fireworks, and the grand jousting tournament on Sunday. Fête de la Mer et de la Saint-Pierre 2025
The 2025 edition unfolded over three days, from June 27th to 29th, with a program rich in maritime traditions. The sardine feasts opened the festivities on Friday evening on the Place de la Libération. Saturday saw the succession of the traditional rowing challenge at 4 PM, old-fashioned games from 5 PM to 7 PM, the fishermen's mass at 6 PM at the Madeleine church, followed by the Saint-Pierre procession at 7 PM. A special moment marked this edition with the unveiling of a plaque honoring Sergio Vianello, a gondolier from Martigues from 1957 to 1967, at 7:45 PM. The fireworks display was launched at 11 PM.
On Sunday, June 29th, the Provençal jousting tournament occupied the entire day on the honor quay, featuring all categories of the Provence championship. The funfair was set up on the Place des Aires from June 29th to July 7th.
