Fête de la Mogette 2025 - The tasty autumn of the bocage
The 2025 edition of the Fête de la Mogette de Vendée brought together producers, cooks and gourmets for a day of celebration of the Vendée white bean. The producers' market featured dozens of exhibitors presenting their fresh and dried mogettes from the new harvest, their artisanal preserves, their charcuterie and their bocage terroir products.
The tastings allowed visitors to discover the mogette in all its forms: the traditional mogette with ham, of course, but also more original creations offered by local chefs — mogette soup with sea herbs, warm mogette salad with clams and green pepper, mogette gratin with old Vendée goat cheese.
The best mogette competition pitted producers and amateur cooks against each other, with a jury composed of personalities from the Vendée gastronomic and agricultural world. Musical entertainment, with a traditional Vendée music group, and children's games completed this beautiful day of rural and gourmet celebration.
