Two days of free concerts on June 20 and 21, 2026 in La Réunion
In La Réunion, Le Tampon celebrates the Fête de la Musique over two days, on June 20 and 21, 2026. Organized by the City of Le Tampon, the festival is entirely free and features maloya, séga, reggae, and many other influences, from Plaine des Cafres to the city center.
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Le Tampon into an open-air stage every June. In La Réunion, the island's second most populated commune extends the celebration over two days and highlights the musical diversity of the territory: maloya, séga, reggae, and many other styles converge freely in public spaces.
Usually, the festival takes place at two sites: Plaine des Cafres in the Highlands of Le Tampon, then Parc Jean de Cambiaire in the heart of the city center, with activities also in the commune's media libraries. Concerts, shows, and performances bring together professional musicians, emerging artists, DJs, and young talents from schools in an eclectic program. The City of Le Tampon also reserves an Amateur Stage for local talents, selected by application.
