The National Celebration in Champigny-sur-Marne: a festive evening at Parc du Plateau

Every year around July 14th, the town of Champigny-sur-Marne organizes a grand celebration of the National Celebration at the Parc départemental du Plateau. This vast green space located high above the Marne offers an ideal setting to bring together the people of Champigny and residents of neighboring towns for a festive and friendly evening.

A carefully orchestrated program

Festivities begin at 7 PM with the opening of the park and musical entertainment. At 8:30 PM, a live concert is offered to the public: in 2025, the group PopCorn Factory warmed up the crowd before the highlight of the evening. The festive atmosphere builds up to the fireworks display at 11 PM, a pyrotechnic show that lights up the Champigny-sur-Marne sky from the heights of the plateau.

After the fireworks, the party continues with a dance party hosted by the orchestra Gabbay Live Orchestra and a DJ, until 2 AM. This late-night extension makes the Champigny National Celebration one of the most festive in the Val-de-Marne.

Parc départemental du Plateau: an ideal natural space

The Parc départemental du Plateau is a natural space of several hundred hectares that spans the towns of Champigny-sur-Marne, Chennevières-sur-Marne, and Ormesson-sur-Marne. Managed by the Département du Val-de-Marne, it offers open spaces that can accommodate large gatherings while maintaining a pleasant natural setting. Its elevated location provides clear views of the Marne and surrounding towns, particularly spectacular during the fireworks display.
