Four Days of Festivities in Tarascon

The 2024 edition of the Fetes de la Tarasque took place from Friday, June 28 to Monday, July 1, 2024 in Tarascon. The program offered four days of historical reenactments, bullfighting festivities, and musical entertainment at the foot of the castle of King René.

The Grand Procession of the Tarasque brought together nearly 800 people in medieval costume, parading behind the roaring Tarasque through the town's streets. The reenactments at the castle featured knight combats, medieval artisan workshops (blacksmith, tanner, calligrapher, goldsmith), and the Tartarin March, a grand theatrical and family-friendly 6 km walk retracing the steps of Alphonse Daudet.

An exceptional free concert by Chimene Badi and Natascha St Pier drew a large crowd, while the Camargue races in the arenas, the abrivados, the giant aioli, and the bodega village completed the program of this festive edition.
