Fêtes de Morcenx 2026

From Friday, June 19 to Sunday, June 21, 2026, Morcenx-la-Nouvelle hosts the local festivities of the Gare district, organized by the Comité des Fêtes around the third Sunday of June. The program blends Landaise traditions and modern entertainment: non-competitive Landaise bull race counting towards the Boléro d'Argent with the ganaderia Armagnacaise and the cuadrilla Gaëtan Labaste, Nuit des Bandas, 16th Festicourse sports event, scooter race, "papa" and disco dances, estanquet, country meals, and concerts.

The official opening takes place on Friday evening at Place Jean-Jaurès with the bandas. The Landaise bull race at the arenas traditionally closes the weekend on Sunday afternoon.

Friday, June 19, 2026

• 8:00 PM — Opening of the festivities at Place Jean-Jaurès with the bandas (Los Alegrios, Lous Dou Perchigat, La Txunga, La Banda Soiffée and guests)
• Evening — Nuit des Bandas, parade and brass and percussion concerts from the South-West in the streets
• Night — Ball and festive entertainment until late into the night

Saturday, June 20, 2026

• 9:30 AM — Start of the 7 km walk of the 16th Festicourse, in front of the Bourse du Travail
• 10:00 AM — Starts of the 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km road races of the Festicourse
• Morning — Festicoursette: children's race
• Afternoon — Scooter race in the town streets, estanquet (Landaise skill game), family entertainment
• Evening — Country meal, popular dance, and disco night

Sunday, June 21, 2026

• Morning — Street entertainment, cycling race, aperitif with the bandas
• 5:00 PM — Landaise bull race at the Morcenx arenas: non-competitive race for the Boléro d'Argent — ganaderia Armagnacaise / Cuadrilla Gaëtan Labaste, participation of three students from the federal bullfighting school Camille et Jules Bareyt, entertainment by Harmonie La Cigale, speaker Didier Goeytes
• Evening — Closing ball and final entertainment at Place Jean-Jaurès
