Fête de la Saint-Fiacre 2025 in Sens

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Sens celebrated Saint Fiacre, patron saint of gardeners, for the annual festival organized by the Société Horticole de Sens. The Saint-Étienne Cathedral was superbly decorated with flowers and floral arrangements, offering a rare spectacle under the Gothic vaults of this 12th-century monument. The solemn high mass, celebrated by the archbishop with the accompaniment of hunting horns and an orchestra, brought together gardeners, horticulturists, and flower lovers from all over the Sénonais region.

The parade of floats and carriages decorated with fresh flowers then crossed the city from the cathedral square to the Parc du Moulin-à-Tan, to the applause of spectators gathered on the sidewalks. In the park, the large plant market brought together nurserymen, florists, and artisans in a market with autumn colors, welcoming several thousand visitors until early afternoon.
