About Fête de la Saint-Fiacre

This year, the big novelty of the Saint-Fiacre festival is its installation in the heart of the Promenades, around the bandstand and on the vast grassy areas. In this green setting, amidst lawns, tree-lined avenues, and green spaces, the festival will unfurl its colors and bucolic spirit in an environment conducive to strolling, contemplation, and exchange.

An emblematic festival in the Sens calendar, Saint-Fiacre pays tribute to the world of gardeners and, more broadly, to all those who, through their passion, patience, and expertise, contribute to the beautification of the city. Amateur gardeners, residents who adorn their balconies and gardens with flowers, municipal agents who work all year round to maintain public spaces: all contribute to making Sens flourish, proudly labeled with 4 flowers.

The program:

Starting at 9:30 AM, the traditional parade of flowered wheelbarrows will kick off this festive day. Departing from Square Jean-Cousin, the procession will reach the cathedral square, accompanied by the musical entertainment of the Jazzdiniers.
Highly anticipated, this moment each year sees original creations emerge, transforming simple wheelbarrows into true mobile gardens.
The morning will continue with the mass celebrated at Saint-Étienne Cathedral, in the presence of the hunting horn corps and the Jean-Neveu orchestra.
At noon, official speeches will take place on the square, followed by a wine of honor.
The parade will then proceed to the Promenades, towards the bandstand.

From 10 AM to 6 PM, the heart of the festival will blossom around the bandstand and on the lawns of the Promenades. Artisans, producers, horticulturists, and enthusiasts will offer flowers, plants, and local products — cider, honey, and other specialties — creating a journey rich in discoveries, scents, and flavors.

Throughout the day, numerous activities will punctuate the event: wooden games with the Sens Ludique association, pony rides with the Salcy stables, musical entertainment, and an exhibition by the Photo Ciné Club.

Catering will also be provided by the Amicale des jardiniers, true to the warm and friendly spirit of the event.
