The Fête de l'Asperge de Mormoiron 2025 took place on April 27th in this Ventoux village, bringing together market gardeners, local chefs, and families around freshly harvested green asparagus. 2025 Edition — The Festival of Spring and Green Asparagus
On April 27, 2025, Mormoiron celebrated green asparagus in an atmosphere of Provencal conviviality and authenticity. The village square transformed into a colorful and fragrant market, where market gardeners from the area offered their finest bunches of fresh asparagus, picked at dawn from the fields of the Ventoux foothills.
Free tastings delighted the palates: steamed asparagus with olive oil and lemon vinaigrette, in a fine herb tart, or grilled over wood fire. Culinary workshops allowed visitors to learn the secrets of preparing green asparagus, while children discovered the world of market gardening through educational activities.
Provencal music and accordion accompanied a sunny day, true to the spirit of local festival that Mormoiron proudly cultivates.
