Festival of the King 2025 – Second Edition
The second edition of the Festival of the King took place from July 25 to 27, 2025, in the Château de Pau district. More ambitious than the first edition, it offered three immersive days celebrating the history of Béarn.
The medieval Friday saw the setup of an artisan market (blacksmiths, stonemasons, glassblowers), jousting demonstrations, and a theatrical performance in the evening. The Renaissance Saturday was marked by the triumphant arrival of Henry IV on horseback, a grand costumed parade, and equestrian shows. The Bearnese Sunday concluded the festivities with a traditional mass, a royal banquet, and folk entertainment.
