Gourmet Festival of Olive Oil 2025 — The 2nd Edition Confirms Success

The 2nd edition of the Gourmet Festival of Olive Oil in Ventoux took place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in the heart of the village of Villes-sur-Auzon, from 10 am to 6 pm, under the banner of generosity and local produce. After the success of the first edition in 2024, which attracted over 2,500 visitors, this second iteration has solidified the festival's place as a benchmark event of the Vaucluse autumn.

Ventoux Legumes in the Spotlight

Each edition of the Gourmet Festival invites a local Ventoux product to join olive oil as a featured item. In 2025, lentils and chickpeas from the Ventoux plateau took on this role. These legumes, cultivated using sustainable farming methods on the high-altitude lands of the plateau, are rich in vegetable protein and pair wonderfully with olive oil in traditional Mediterranean cuisine. Conferences and workshops highlighted their nutritional and gastronomic qualities.

A Fourth Brotherhood

An innovation for the 2025 edition was the addition of a fourth brotherhood to the parade: the Confrérie des chevaliers de l'olivier de Nyons, whose presence strengthened the link between the olive-growing regions of Provence and Drôme, which share a common attachment to olive cultivation.

The olive oil tasting initiation, led by the Groupement des Oléiculteurs de Vaucluse throughout the day, allowed dozens of visitors to develop their organoleptic sensitivity and better distinguish the different aromatic profiles of Ventoux oils.
