The traditional Easter festival at the Botans Agricultural Museum, egg hunt and rural discovery
Every year at Easter, the Botans Agricultural Museum (90150) celebrates the spring festival with a day dedicated to families: egg hunt in nests, traditional skill games, museum discovery, brioche and refreshment stand. Organized by the association L'Outil et la Vie d'Antan, this rural and friendly event is held on Easter Sunday and Monday from 1:30 PM to 6 PM.
Every spring, around the Easter holidays, the Botans Agricultural Museum (90150) transforms into a playground and discovery area for families and children. Organized by the association L'Outil et la Vie d'Antan, the Easter Festival at the Agricultural Museum has become an unmissable event in the festive calendar of the Territoire de Belfort, perpetuating for several decades the rural traditions and the memory of the agricultural world of Franche-Comté.
The day's program is designed for the happiness of children and the enjoyment of the accompanying adults. The egg hunt in nests is the highlight of the afternoon: children set off to explore the museum and its nooks to find the eggs hidden by the organizing committee. A moment of joy and discovery that delights young and old alike.
Traditional skill games complete the program:
The Easter Festival is also the ideal opportunity to visit the Botans Agricultural Museum, one of the richest and best-preserved rural museums in the Territoire de Belfort. This museum, open from Easter to All Saints' Day, presents an exceptional collection of agricultural tools, rural equipment, and everyday objects that bear witness to peasant life in Franche-Comté in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Museum discovery games are offered to make the visit interactive and fun for the younger ones. Children can thus learn about the history of regional agriculture while having fun.
The Easter tradition would be incomplete without brioche, and the Botans Agricultural Museum ensures the perpetuation of this sweet tradition. A refreshment stand completes the offering so that the whole family can gather for a friendly snack in the museum courtyard.
The Botans Agricultural Museum is open from Easter to All Saints' Day, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 1:30 PM to 5 PM, and by appointment on weekdays. The Easter Festival thus symbolically marks the opening of the museum season, inviting families to discover this gem of Belfort's rural heritage.
