Fêtes de la Châtaigne de Collobrières — October 2025
During the three Sundays of October 2025 — October 5, 12, and 19 — Collobrières once again celebrated its chestnut in a warm and popular atmosphere. The village in the Massif des Maures came alive with colorful stalls, the aroma of roasted chestnuts, and Provençal music, attracting visitors from all over the Var and neighboring departments.
The farmers' market brought together local producers and artisans from the Massif des Maures, offering fresh chestnuts, artisanal candied chestnuts made at Confiserie Azuréenne, chestnut creams, flours, jams, and local Var products. Stands of wood-fired roasted chestnuts filled the streets, offering the simple and universal pleasure of a Provençal autumn.
Entertainment accompanied each Sunday: street performances, traditional music, exhibitions by local artisans, demonstrations of know-how, and workshops for children. Guided walks through the ancient chestnut groves of the Massif des Maures allowed visitors to discover this exceptional natural heritage under the autumn light.
