Edition 2025 — Medieval Mortemer

The 28th edition of the Medieval Festival of Mortemer Abbey was held on August 14th and 15th, 2025, in Lisors, bringing together reenactment groups, medieval musicians, and artisans for equestrian tournaments, combat, and participatory dances in the first Cistercian abbey of Normandy.

28th Edition - August 2025

The 28th Medieval Festival of Mortemer Abbey was held on August 14th and 15th, 2025, in Lisors, continuing this summer tradition that attracts thousands of medieval history enthusiasts each year to the Lyons forest.

Reenactment groups presented spectacular equestrian tournaments, ground combat, and weapon demonstrations. Music groups accompanied the medieval dances in which the public enthusiastically participated. The craft market and medieval food stalls completed this historical immersion in an exceptional heritage setting.
