116th Foire Agricole de Montigny-le-Roi

On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the Fédération des Éleveurs du Bassigny organized the 116th edition of the Foire Agricole de Montigny-le-Roi, confirming the dynamism of this over-a-century-old event.

From 9 am, the cattle competitions brought together breeders presenting their finest animals of the Simmental, Charolaise, and Limousine breeds. The Ardennes draft horse competition once again offered an impressive spectacle with harnessing and traction demonstrations that captivated the audience.

Over 200 exhibitors from all over the Grand Est region offered local produce, crafts, clothing, agricultural machinery, and various equipment. The poultry exhibition allowed visitors to discover many breeds of fowl. At 2 pm, the parade of young children with their calves was a particularly appreciated moment of emotion and transmission. Street entertainment, fairground rides, and food stalls completed this popular festival day.

Program for the 116th Edition

• 9 am: Opening of the fair and start of cattle competitions (Simmental, Charolais, Limousin)
