Edition 2025 — Fort Metal Fest
5th Edition: Loudblast Ignites the Fort du Cognelot
For its 5th edition, Fort Metal Fest took over the Fort du Cognelot in Chalindrey on Saturday, June 14, 2025, for the second consecutive year at this historic site. With approximately 400 festival-goers — triple the attendance of the previous edition — this event marked a significant milestone for the HMMH association.
The headliner, Loudblast, a legend of death metal from Lille celebrating their 40th career anniversary, delivered a memorable set. The Toulouse-based band Carcariass, a prominent name in melodic death metal, also set the stage ablaze. Tentation, a heavy metal band from the 1980s, Les Compagnons du Gras Jambon with their festive metal, Voorhees (death metal), and Warfaith completed a rich and varied lineup.
Beyond the concerts, festival-goers enjoyed merchandise stands, a tattoo artist, jewelers, record sellers, and local artisans, all within the characteristic friendly atmosphere of Fort Metal Fest.
