Edition 2025 — Franco-Moroccan
First edition of the Franco-Moroccan Cultural Festival, organized on September 20 and 21, 2025, at Parc de Bellecour in Pithiviers, as part of European Heritage Days and the official twinning between Pithiviers and Ifrane. The program included an equestrian Tbourida show by Cavaliers Al Assala and Pégase Prod, an artisan village, a fashion show, exhibitions, a concert evening with Imad Ntifi, Saïd Senhaji, Tarik Ziani, Asala Daka Orléans, and Cheba Houda, as well as performances by the group Ahidous Amsassa. The twinning signing ceremony was held on September 20 in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador Samira Sitaïl.
1st Edition — Birth of the Franco-Moroccan Cultural Festival
On September 20 and 21, 2025, the Parc de Bellecour in Pithiviers hosted the first edition of the Franco-Moroccan Cultural Festival, organized by APCFM and in coordination with the Tourist Office of Grand Pithiverais. The event coincided with the European Heritage Days, giving the festival a special cultural resonance.
Twinning Ceremony
A political and symbolic highlight, the official signing of the twinning between Pithiviers and Ifrane took place on Saturday, September 20, in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador to France Samira Sitaïl, the Mayor of Pithiviers Philippe Nolland, and the President of the municipality of Ifrane Abdeslam Lahrar. This twinning seals a lasting cooperation between the two cities around culture, youth, sport, environment, and tourism.
Cultural Program
- Equestrian Show "The Horse, a Link Between Cultures": Tbourida demonstration (Moroccan fantasia inscribed in UNESCO) by Cavaliers Al Assala and Pégase Prod, forming a mixed Franco-Moroccan group
- Artisan Village: Moroccan and French artisans showcasing their traditional skills
- Fashion Show: Clothing creations celebrating both cultures
- Thematic Exhibitions: Heritage, history, and arts of both countries
- Musical Performances: Amazigh songs and dances by the group Ahidous Amsassa from Imouzzer Kandar
- Gastronomy Stalls: Moroccan and French culinary specialties, local products
Concert Evening
On Saturday evening, the Pithiviers town hall hosted a grand musical evening featuring five artists: Imad Ntifi, Saïd Senhaji, Tarik Ziani, Asala Daka Orléans, and Cheba Houda, for a show blending Moroccan and Franco-Maghrebi sounds.
Round Tables
Themed round tables brought together delegations from Pithiviers and Ifrane to discuss six areas of cooperation: culture, youth, sport, environment, tourism, and economic development.
Outcome
This first edition attracted thousands of visitors and laid the foundation for an annual event celebrating Franco-Moroccan friendship.
