21st edition of the Grenoble Alpes Métropole Jazz Festival, themed "Rumo ao Brasil". 11 concerts in 8 towns of the Grenoble metropolitan area, echoing the France-Brazil 2025 season.
21st Edition: Rumo ao Brasil
For its 21st edition, the Grenoble Alpes Métropole Jazz Festival has chosen to highlight Brazilian culture with a program titled "Rumo ao Brasil" (Heading to Brazil). From September 26 to October 12, 2025, 11 concerts were scheduled in 8 towns of the Grenoble metropolitan area, echoing the France-Brazil 2025 season organized by the Guimarães Rosa Institute and the French Institute.
This edition celebrated the richness of Brazilian music and its fusions with contemporary jazz, while offering concerts with diverse aesthetics mixing jazz, bossa nova, samba jazz, Afro-Brazilian music, and original creations. Masterclasses were also offered, notably a session led by Zaza Desiderio on South American percussion.
