8th Edition: Colors, Rhythms, and Flavors
Haïti Fest celebrates its 8th edition on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the foot of the Donjon de Septmonts. True to its spirit of popular and solidarity-driven celebration, the festival offers a completely free day, rich in colors, rhythms, and flavors, from 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
The musical program opens at 6:00 PM with Abdoulaye Kouyaté, a griot and kora player whose Manding melodies transport the audience. At 7:30 PM, La Rime Métisse takes over with their mixed-race French songs, blending slam, reggae, and committed poetry. At 9:00 PM, JJEM & IZLY ignite the stage with the enchanting rhythms of Haitian kompa, evoking the festival's Caribbean roots. Finally, at 11:00 PM, Karaboudjan closes the evening with their festive rock and explosive brass section.
From 2:00 PM onwards, families can enjoy children's activities, local craft stalls, and world food stalls offering specialties from around the globe. The bar and refreshment area complete the offerings in a friendly and warm atmosphere. All proceeds are donated to the Chalette nutrition center in Haiti.
