For its tenth anniversary, the HandiRockBike association is setting aside the blues and rock: on September 26th and 27th, 2026, it will host the show "Nellie Oleson enflamme les années 80" by Alison Arngrim and Patrick Loubatière at the Espace culturel Ronny Coutteure in Grenay. The Saturday evening performance is sold out; a second show has been added for Sunday at 2:00 PM.

2026 Edition: HRB's tenth anniversary with Nellie Oleson

Since 2016, HandiRockBike has been organizing blues, blues rock, and metal concerts in Grenay, with proceeds benefiting the pediatric oncology department at the Oscar Lambret center in Lille and families with sick children. For its tenth anniversary, the association is changing its tune. "HRB, usually focused on blues, blues rock, and metal events, wanted to explore something new and delight a completely different audience," the association wrote on its Facebook page.

On the bill for September 26th and 27th, 2026: "Nellie Oleson enflamme les années 80," a duo performance by Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson from "Little House on the Prairie") and Patrick Loubatière, author of several books on the 80s and the series. It is a two-hour show in French filled with humor, music, and nostalgia, where the American actress takes a look at our French 80s: Gym Tonic, Capitaine Flam, Alf, Dallas, Charles Ingalls, La Compagnie Créole, and L'École des fans. A long autograph and photo session follows the performance. The two artists perform only in small towns, as a nod to the village in the series.

Tickets for Saturday, September 26th, sold out four and a half months in advance. With the agreement of the Grenay town hall and the artists, a second performance was added on Sunday, September 27th, at 2:00 PM. The association has stated that there will be no third show.

No blues, rock, or metal evenings are announced by HandiRockBike for 2026.

HRB Festival: Music for Solidarity

The HRB Festival, an acronym for HandiRockBike, is more than just a music festival. Created by the association of the same name, this charity event brings together rock and blues enthusiasts every year in Grenay, in the Pas-de-Calais mining basin, for a cause close to their hearts: the fight against cancer.

A Festival Benefiting the Centre Oscar Lambret

All profits from the HRB Festival are donated to the Centre Oscar Lambret in Lille, a regional cancer research center and a reference in oncology in the Hauts-de-France region. This charitable mission gives the festival a human and solidarity dimension that goes far beyond music, mobilizing volunteers and spectators around a common commitment.

A Rock and Blues Lineup

The HRB Festival features a music program focused on rock and blues, with regional and national bands performing on stage throughout the day. The energy of the live performances, the sound quality, and the festive atmosphere make each edition a highlight for amplified music lovers.

The Espace culturel Ronny Coutteure

The festival takes place at the Espace culturel Ronny Coutteure, a performance venue in Grenay located at 28 bis Boulevard de la Flandre. This venue, named in honor of the Northern actor and director Ronny Coutteure, offers a suitable setting for hosting a festival of this scale, with a quality stage and convivial spaces.

The Spirit of the Mining Basin

Grenay, a former mining town in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining basin, a UNESCO World Heritage site, embodies the values of solidarity and fraternity that characterize this territory. The HRB Festival is fully in line with this heritage, upholding the values of mutual aid and sharing that have always animated the communities of the mining basin.

An Event Driven by Volunteers

The HRB Festival is entirely organized by passionate volunteers, members of the HandiRockBike association. Their commitment and dedication make it possible to offer a quality event while maximizing the funds donated to cancer research. This human dimension makes the festival a unique and touching gathering.
