La Médiévale de Celon

Fifth Edition - September 6th and 7th, 2025

For its fifth edition, La Médiévale de Celon was held on September 6th and 7th, 2025 with an enriched program attracting nearly 7,000 visitors. Among the new features: equestrian jousting pitting mounted knights in spectacular combat, and a bird of prey show featuring medieval raptors (falcons, buzzards, owls) presented by a professional falconer. The craft market, as rich as ever, offered demonstrations of medieval calligraphy, illumination, and weaving.

The medieval encampments recreated different periods of the Middle Ages, from the 12th to the 15th century, allowing visitors to discover the evolution of armor, weapons, and combat techniques. The workshops for children (shield making, introduction to illumination, medieval games) were a great success. The fire show on Saturday evening, even more impressive than the previous year, concluded the first day in a magical atmosphere. The 2025 edition confirmed La Médiévale de Celon as one of the finest medieval festivals in the Centre-Val de Loire region.
