1st edition — A thunderous launch
The first edition of the Festival des Canonniers took place from June 7 to 9, 2024 at Boissière Event, in Mauléon. Le Canon Français and Maindron Production pulled out all the stops for this launch: five immense circus marquees, each dedicated to a French region, arranged around a giant 32-meter Eiffel Tower.
Over 8,000 participants from all over France feasted for three days, enjoying spit-roast pigs, fire-braised beef, wines, and craft beers while listening to regional concerts in each marquee. The Canonnier's Platter — a hearty meal included with the ticket — was one of the culinary highlights of this inaugural edition.
The success far exceeded the organizers' expectations, confirming the existence of an audience eager for popular celebrations of French terroir and lifestyle.
