Le Festival des Canonniers
Six regional big tops and a giant Eiffel Tower: French terroir in concert in Mauléon
2026
About Festival des Canonniers
The Festival des Canonniers is a gastronomic and festive event hosted by Le Canon Français, in partnership with Maindron Production. Held at Boissière Event, in the La Chabossière area of Saint-Pierre-des-Échaubrognes (a delegated commune of Mauléon, Deux-Sèvres), this unique festival brings thousands of guests together every June under massive circus tents representing different French regions, all centered around a 32-meter-tall giant Eiffel Tower. Each tent offers an immersive experience into the flavors and music of a specific French region, featuring spit-roasted pork and lamb, wines, beers, ciders, and local delicacies, all accompanied by regional live music. A one-of-a-kind event blending gastronomy, regional heritage, and live performance, the Festival des Canonniers drew over 8,000 attendees in its first year, proving the public's appetite for a relaxed celebration of the French art of living.
Festival des Canonniers — edition 2026
The second edition of the Festival des Canonniers takes place on Friday, June 12th and Saturday, June 13th, 2026, at Boissière Event, located at La Chabossière in Saint-Pierre-des-Échaubrognes (part of the municipality of Mauléon, Deux-Sèvres). Six massive marquees representing six French regions—Brittany, Burgundy, Alsace, Auvergne, Occitanie, and Normandy—surround a 32-meter-tall replica of the Eiffel Tower. The official lineup features Patrick Sébastien, Ingrid St-Pierre, Ricoune, Let Dzur, the Booze Brothers, the Marins Globe Trotters, David Pasquet 3, and the Banda El Gruppetto, with two to three concerts per marquee, a Château stage, an Eiffela stage, and a grand finale concert in front of the château each night. Doors open at 6:00 PM and close at 1:00 AM, with 10,500 festival-goers expected.
2nd Edition — Six Regions Celebrated Under the Marquees
The Festival des Canonniers returns on June 12th and 13th, 2026, to Boissière Event, set in the grounds of a château at La Chabossière, in the village of Saint-Pierre-des-Échaubrognes (Mauléon, Deux-Sèvres). Following a successful first edition that drew over 8,000 attendees, Le Canon Français and Maindron Production are stepping things up: this year features six giant marquees instead of five, representing Brittany, Burgundy, Alsace, Auvergne, Occitanie, and Normandy. Organizers are expecting 10,500 visitors.
The Concept
Six massive circus-style tents are arranged around a 32-meter-tall Eiffel Tower, the festival's iconic visual centerpiece. Each marquee is dedicated to a specific French region, offering local culinary specialties at the bars and stalls, alongside a regional musical program with two to three concerts per evening in each tent.
This is not a sit-down banquet: the marquees are open-access, allowing festival-goers to wander from one region to another at their own pace. Your ticket grants access to the entire site, all six marquees, and every concert and show. Food and drinks at the stalls and bars are paid for separately using a cashless wristband system.
A Typical Evening
The site opens at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 12th, and Saturday, June 13th. Guests stroll from tent to tent to sample regional flavors and music, while the Banda El Gruppetto roams the grounds to keep the energy high. Each night concludes with a grand finale concert in front of the château, bringing all the "canonniers" together. The site closes at 1:00 AM.

A unique concept: France at the table under big tops
The Festival des Canonniers was born from a simple yet ambitious idea: to bring together foodies, party-goers, and lovers of French terroir in a unique setting where every region of France is celebrated through its flavors, traditions, and music. Organized by Le Canon Français—a company specializing in giant traveling banquets across France—the festival is the XXL version of the famous "Canon" parties that tour the country.
The concept is spectacular: massive circus tents, each dedicated to a French region, are arranged around a 32-meter-tall giant Eiffel Tower, the festival's true visual icon. Inside each tent, guests discover the culinary and musical specialties of the represented region, with continuous live music and a giant party atmosphere.
French terroir in the spotlight
Gastronomy is at the heart of the Festival des Canonniers. The tents are packed with stalls run by producers and artisans from all over France: spit-roasted pork and lamb, charcuterie and cheeses, seafood, galette-saucisse, flammekueche, snails, aligot, duck hearts, camembert roasted with calvados… Wines, craft beers, ciders, and cocktails flow at the bars in each region, while a central bar is set up at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
Please note that the festival does not operate like a seated banquet: the tents are open-access, and everyone is free to wander from one region to another at their own pace. The ticket grants access to the site, the tents, and all concerts; food and drinks are paid for separately, exclusively via a cashless wristband.
Music and entertainment under the big tops
Each regional tent hosts two to three concerts per evening, featuring artists and bands representative of the local music scene. The mix of genres—pop, rock, traditional music, brass bands, and festive tunes—contributes to the festival's uninhibited atmosphere. This is complemented by a "Château" stage, an "Eiffela" stage, and roaming brass bands. To close each evening, a grand final concert is held in front of the château, bringing all festival-goers together until 1:00 AM.
A resounding success
The first edition attracted over 8,000 participants from all over France, confirming the appeal of a concept that combines local gastronomy, live performance, and popular celebration. The success is such that Le Canon Français is expanding to six tents instead of five for the 2026 edition, representing six French regions, with 10,500 festival-goers expected.
