La Girandole: A Theater in the Heart of the Murs à Pêches

La Girandole is one of the most unique cultural venues in the Paris region. Located in the Murs à Pêches district of Montreuil — this exceptional area where protected market gardens still exist in the heart of the suburbs — the theater offers an eclectic program throughout the year. Its Théâtre en Dur, the venue's main hall, provides the ideal setting for intimate and high-quality acoustic concerts.

An Eclectic Program Centered on Acoustic Sound

What defines Les Acousticales is above all a philosophy: to highlight the natural sound of instruments and voices, without systematic recourse to electronic amplification or digital processing. This artistic approach is not retrograde — on the contrary, it is profoundly contemporary in its rehabilitation of direct musical gesture, physical contact between the musician and their instrument, and the fragility and beauty inherent in acoustic music.

4th Edition in March 2026

The fourth edition of Les Acousticales was held on March 27 and 28, 2026 at La Girandole. Two dense days of acoustic music, mixing concerts, short performances, and moments of exchange with the artists. The program once again demonstrated the richness and diversity of contemporary acoustic musical practices.

Montreuil: A Natural Ground for Alternative Music

Montreuil has long welcomed musicians, artists, and creatives who appreciate the living environment of this city, halfway between the working-class suburbs and the bohemian communes. The tradition of the Murs à Pêches — these walled gardens that made the city famous for its fruit in the 19th century — still imbues Montreuil's identity with a taste for the living, the natural, and the authentic.
