1st Edition — September 26 and 27, 2008
The first edition of the Les Alternatives Live festival took place on September 26 and 27, 2008, in Brives-Charensac, Haute-Loire. Organized by the association L'Alternative, the festival took over a village setting to offer a weekend of alternative and friendly music.
During the day, free outdoor concerts animated the village, accompanied by various activities for all audiences. In the evening, four indoor concerts took over, offering more intense performances in a covered venue. Free camping was available to festival-goers for the entire weekend, in a spirit of sharing and community characteristic of independent alternative festivals.
