2025 Edition — The Castle Celebrates All Summer Long

The 2025 edition of Les Estivales de la Tour d'Aigues confirmed the richness of the cultural programming of this unique festival. From early July to mid-August, the courtyard of the Renaissance Castle of La Tour d'Aigues transformed into an open-air stage to host quality musicians, actors, and dancers.

Musical evenings formed the heart of the 2025 program: a baroque ensemble opened the festival with a program of 17th-century music that made the old stones of the castle resonate with timeless sounds. Piano and cello recitals followed, featuring works by Bach, Scarlatti, and Couperin in the natural acoustics of the courtyard. A world music concert added a more festive and contemporary touch to the program.

Theater evenings attracted a large audience: a Shakespeare play in a delightful French adaptation, a creation about the history of Provence in the time of the lords, and a light comedy that made the audience laugh under the Luberon stars. The actors performed facing the ruined walls of the castle, in a natural scenography of rare power.

A flamenco dance evening, with a Spanish company on tour in France, brought a large audience to the castle courtyard for a fiery and passionate performance that left the audience spellbound.
