18th edition of the Les Extravadanses festival in Castres. A week of free open-air dance performances in early July 2025, with about twenty shows covering all styles: contemporary, hip-hop, flamenco, neoclassical, salsa, modern jazz, and tap. 18th Edition: Dance Takes Over Castres
For its 18th edition, Les Extravadanses took over the squares and gardens of Castres from July 5th to 12th, 2025. The festival featured about twenty free open-air shows, covering a wide range of choreographic styles: contemporary dance, hip-hop, flamenco, neoclassical, salsa, modern jazz, and tap.
Professional companies from all over France and abroad shared the stage with local dance schools and Castres associations, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality. The program also included discovery workshops open to all audiences, dance masterclasses led by professionals, and documentary screenings dedicated to the choreographic world, confirming the multidisciplinary nature of this unmissable summer event.
