Edition 2025 — Harmonies Estivales
13th Edition — August 2025
For its thirteenth edition, Les Harmonies Estivales once again brought together a loyal audience of music lovers under the Gothic vaults of the Notre-Dame church in Villeneuve-l'Archevêque, from August 21 to 23, 2025. True to its philosophy of intimacy, the festival offered three evenings of classical music performed by carefully curated chamber ensembles centered around an annual musical theme.
Artistic director Isabelle Durin, violinist and member of the Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, once again crafted a program combining musical rigor and accessibility, offering the inhabitants of the Sénonais region and passing visitors privileged access to great classical music in an exceptional monumental setting. The concerts began at 5:30 PM, following the festival's tradition.
An Unforgettable Setting
The Notre-Dame church, whose 13th-century north portal is one of the jewels of Champenois Gothic statuary, provided its natural acoustics and hushed atmosphere for works from the European chamber music repertoire. The characteristic conviviality of Les Harmonies Estivales—small ensembles, interactions with musicians, an audience gathered in a human-scale space—made this edition a moment of authentic musical sharing in the heart of rural Yonne.
