2025 Season — From the Renaissance to the Baroque

The 2025 edition of Les Heures Musicales de Pontigny offered a program of great stylistic richness, opening the season on the Pentecost weekend and continuing until the end of summer within the walls of the Cistercian abbey church.

Pentecost Concert — May 25, 2025

The Pentecost concert, a ritual highlight of the festival for over thirty years, opened the season with a program dedicated to English music from the Renaissance to the Baroque under the direction of Paul Parsons: works by Taverner, Tallis, Byrd, Tomkins, Purcell, Handel, and Wesley, performed by voices and organ.

Organ Concert — July 20, 2025

Organist Jean-Pierre Lecaudey, originally from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, offered a "Journey through French music of the 17th and 18th centuries," featuring works by Sweelinck, Boyvin, Clérambault, J.S. Bach, F. Couperin, and J.-M. Beauvarlet-Charpentier.

Guitar Concert — August 11, 2025

Virtuoso guitarist Robin Maxime led the audience through classical, Spanish, and South American masterpieces in a recital combining sensitivity and virtuosity.

A four-hand organ concert for the Assumption Day celebration with Marie-Ange Leurent and Éric Lebrun, featuring a program of baroque music: Buxtehude, Marchand, Lebègue, J.S. Bach, Handel, and Rameau.
