4th edition: three exceptional recitals
For its 4th edition, Les Nuits d'Indiciac offered three solo recitals from July 25 to 27, 2025, taking over the three emblematic venues of Saint-Flour's upper town.
The festival opened on Friday evening at the Chapel of the Grand Séminaire with a piano recital by Adam Laloum, an exceptional artist recognized as one of the most sensitive pianists of his generation. His program, dedicated to Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms, offered a journey into the heart of German Romanticism within the intimate acoustics of the neo-Gothic chapel.
On Saturday, Raphaël Chrétien, a cellist with an eclectic repertoire ranging from Bach on period instruments to the most contemporary works, performed four of Johann Sebastian Bach's Suites for Solo Cello in the town hall courtyard, outdoors facing the cathedral. A moment of musical grace under the starry sky of Cantal.
On Sunday, an organ recital in the Saint-Pierre Cathedral concluded this edition, making the grand organ resonate under the Gothic vaults. This free-admission concert allowed as many people as possible to discover the rich sound of this monumental instrument.
