31st Edition: The Blues in All Its Glory
For its 31st edition, the Les Nuits du Blues d'Abbeville festival offered a week of intense concerts at the Théâtre Municipal and the Espace Culturel Saint-André. The lineup brought together international and French blues artists in a series of memorable evenings.
Thorbjørn Risager, one of Scandinavia's greatest bluesmen, set the Abbeville stage ablaze with his powerful blues rock and characteristic gravelly voice. The Black Stompers brought their boundless energy in a set of incandescent electric blues. The French scene was represented with talent, offering the audience discoveries and confirmations in a range from acoustic blues to contemporary blues rock.
