2025 Edition — Gordes on stage all summer
The summer of 2025 confirmed the vitality of the Soirées d'Été de Gordes, with an eclectic and generous program that animated the village throughout July and August. The Château square, with its stones illuminated by stage lighting, hosted the most anticipated theatrical performances, while the medieval alleys vibrated to the rhythm of street arts and itinerant concerts.
Several theater companies presented high-quality performances: a Molière play revisited by a company from Avignon, a contemporary creation about Provence and its inhabitants, a theater-dance performance that delighted young and old alike. The actors, performing in front of the 16th-century castle, benefited from a backdrop that no set designer could have invented.
The night concerts echoed from the Château square to the vicinity of the Sénanque Abbey for some special events. Jazz, French chanson, world music, and baroque classical music followed one another throughout the evenings, each finding a particular resonance in the Gordes setting. The audience, seated under the stars, enjoyed the mild Luberon nights to savor these moments of grace.
Street artists—jugglers, acrobats, itinerant musicians, storytellers—roamed the village from sunset until midnight, surprising strollers and vacationers at every turn of the alleys. This festive and popular dimension was highly appreciated, especially by families with children.
