Les Soirées d'Été de Gordes

The Gordes Festival, over forty years of music under the stars of the Luberon

Created in 1984, Les Soirées d'Été de Gordes — commonly known as the Gordes Festival — are among the most popular summer events in the Vaucluse. Every year at the beginning of August, the festival offers a handful of evenings of concerts and shows in an exceptional setting, at the foot of the hilltop village classified among France's Most Beautiful Villages.

The Théâtre des Terrasses, an open-air setting

Performances take place at the Théâtre des Terrasses, an open-air theatre built into the hillside with tiered seating, in the heart of the village. Its 495 numbered seats arranged in an amphitheatre offer a panoramic view of the plain and the Luberon mountain. As night falls, the open-air stage and the village lights create a unique backdrop for live music.

An eclectic program

Since its creation, the festival has built its reputation on a varied and demanding program: French chanson, jazz, Latin and world music, comedy, electro-soul. National and international headliners succeed each other on the Gordes stage for a few evenings, bringing artistic quality into dialogue with the beauty of the location.

A friendly atmosphere

Each performance evening, a refreshment stand and light catering are offered on site before the start of the show, in a friendly atmosphere typical of Provençal summer evenings. The festival is run by the Association des Soirées d'Été de Gordes.
