25th anniversary edition of Les Tersons Aubrac in Pierrefort. 25th Edition of Les Tersons Aubrac - 2025 Anniversary Edition
The 25th edition of Les Tersons Aubrac took place from Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6, 2025 in Pierrefort, marking a quarter-century celebration of the Aubrac breed and the tradition of fattened Easter calves. This anniversary edition brought together a large crowd to celebrate this historic event under a generous sun.
On Friday evening, a concert at the Pierrefort church opened the festivities. Saturday offered visitors cheese dairy tours with Cantal cheese tasting, a 7 km hike to the Turlande site, and a "boules carrées" competition. The afternoon was dedicated to visits to Aubrac breeding farms, followed by a snack. The traditional banquet on Saturday evening at the animation hall, enlivened by orchestras Gilles Saby and Laurent Mallet, was the festive highlight of this edition.
On Sunday, April 6, the main day of the festival, brought together around the animal exhibition at the fairgrounds, the auction, the large market of flavors and crafts, musical entertainment with the Laguiole folk group and the Cournon band, as well as exhibitions of old cars and old fire trucks. The children's area with a mini-farm, traditional games, and pedal tractors delighted the youngest attendees.
