37th edition of the Marché de Potiers
The 2024 edition of the Marché de Potiers d'Argentat took place on August 3 and 4, 2024, at the Jardin Jean Saintangel, on the banks of the Dordogne. This 37th edition brought together around forty professional potters and ceramists from all over France to present their creations: utilitarian pottery, art ceramics, raku, stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware.
The public could attend throwing demonstrations, participate in open workshops to learn about working with clay, and discover archaeological activities about the history of ceramics. On Saturday evening, an Irish music concert enlivened the garden in a festive and friendly atmosphere. Food and drinks were available on site throughout the weekend. Free admission allowed everyone to enjoy this celebration of ceramic craftsmanship in the Dordogne valley.
