2025 Edition: Tribute to Marshal Turenne
The Medieval Animations of 2025 at the Château de Turenne had a special resonance, marking the 350th anniversary of the death of Marshal Turenne (1675-2025), one of the greatest military strategists in French history. The animations offered by the association Historia Aquitanorum highlighted the military history and legacy of the Marshal.
Visitors were able to discover combat demonstrations, reenactments of medieval daily life, and presentations of armor and military equipment in the majestic setting of the vicomtal castle. These days celebrated the history of Turenne and introduced the public to the importance of this historical site in French history.
