On August 23rd and 24th, 2025, the Granges de Vielmur in Vielmur-sur-Agout hosted the village's Medieval Festival. For two days, this outdoor site on the outskirts of the Tarn village transformed into a lively medieval encampment, offering free immersion into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Visitors could discover artisans in costume practicing ancestral trades, witness combat demonstrations by rigorously documented historical reenactment groups, participate in educational workshops for children (calligraphy, medieval games, coat of arms creation), and enjoy musical entertainment by medieval troubadours and musicians wandering through the festive area. A successful edition that brought together families and history enthusiasts in the authentic setting of this medieval village on the banks of the Agout.
