Open Days BA702 - 2024 Edition

The 2024 edition of the open days at Air Base 702 in Avord took place from September 28 to October 1, 2024, offering the public an extended weekend of air shows and discoveries. Visitors were able to witness exceptional demonstrations by the Patrouille de France, the iconic aerobatic team, as well as impressive flights by the Rafale Solo Display, showcasing the power and agility of the latest generation French fighter jet.

The AWACS, an airborne warning and control aircraft, was also part of the program with ground and flight presentations, allowing the public to discover this strategic aircraft, rarely seen at public events. The static exhibition featured around twenty military aircraft: combat helicopters, training aircraft, transport, and refueling planes. Mechanics and pilots welcomed visitors for direct exchanges and technical demonstrations.

2024 Program

• Saturday, September 28: Gates open at 9:00 AM, aerial demonstrations from 2:00 PM
• Sunday, September 29: Patrouille de France at 3:00 PM, Rafale flights at 4:00 PM
• Monday, September 30: Full day with flights and static exhibition
• Tuesday, October 1: Event closes at 6:00 PM
