9th Edition — May 8 to 17, 2026

The 2026 edition of the MIMIZ'Arts Festival took place over ten days, from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 17, in Mimizan Plage. Organized by the MIMIZANscènes association, it brought together about thirty local and regional artists in Salle Maurice Martin and Chapelle à la Mer, two spaces located on the seafront.

Exhibitions

The exhibited works covered the main disciplines of visual arts: paintings, sculptures, and photographs. Both venues were open continuously, with extended hours on weekends and public holidays (10 am-7 pm) and weekday afternoons (2 pm-7 pm).

Concert

In the evening, the festival hosted the concert of the group BORN on Saturday, May 9 at 9 pm at the Notre-Dame des Dunes church (Mimizan beach church). The group BORN, composed of local musicians from Mimizan, offered a pop, rock, and folk repertoire within the remarkable acoustic setting of the church. Free concert, open access.

Children's Workshops

Two free creative workshop sessions for children were organized on Saturdays, May 9 and 16, from 3 pm to 5 pm at Salle Maurice Martin, supervised by volunteer artists. Introduction to visual arts, all materials provided.

A Free Festival

True to its mission of democratizing art, MIMIZ'Arts remained an entirely free festival in 2026: exhibitions, concert, and workshops with open access, no prior registration required.
