2025 Edition — Exploration, Sea, and Glaciers
The 28th edition of the Montier Photo Festival took place from November 20th to 23rd, 2025, in Montier-en-Der and its surroundings. Themed "Exploration of Worlds, Year of the Sea, and Glacier Preservation," this edition welcomed 43,458 visitors, ranking it 6th in the festival's historical attendance.
Exceptional Patrons
Laurent Ballesta, a world-renowned marine biologist and underwater photographer, and Vincent Munier, famous for his poetic and minimalist approach to wildlife photography, were the patrons of this edition. Laurent Ballesta presented the exhibition "Loin du ciel" and Vincent Munier "Le chant des forêts," a film and exhibition.
Highlights
Over 100 original exhibitions were displayed across 16 sites. The collective exhibition "Polar, mémoires des glaces" by the Regard du Vivant collective left a strong impression, as did "Goupilissime," a collective exhibition dedicated to the red fox. Nearly 80 hours of conferences, round tables, and screenings addressed ecological issues and photographic practice. Over 3,500 students participated in the youth activities.
