Edition 2025 — Mort de Rires
The 2025 edition of Mort de Rires took place from 6 to 12 October 2025 under a marquee in the grounds of the Château de Chazey-sur-Ain. Themed around Halloween for the first time, this edition offered a week of shows blending comedy, burlesque cabaret and a candlelit concert.

2025 edition — Halloween at the Château
The 2025 edition of Mort de Rires broke new ground by adopting a Halloween theme for the first time, blending comedy, thrills and a festive atmosphere at the Château de Chazey-sur-Ain.
Line-up
- Monday 6 October: Sellig — 'Épisode 6', a hilarious one-man show
- Wednesday 8 October: Yann Guillarme — 'Libre!', hard-hitting stand-up mixing characters and improvisation
- Thursday 9 October: Didier Gustin — 'Johnny, libre dans ma tête', a rock and musical tribute to Johnny Hallyday
- Friday 10 October: BURLESK show — modern and uninhibited cabaret, a first for the festival
- Saturday 11 October: Halloween workshops during the day, followed by a candlelit Halloween concert with the Quatuor Wassily in the evening
Shows took place each evening from 8pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm and light refreshments available on site.
