The free intercultural biennale of Seine-Saint-Denis at Parc Georges-Valbon
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Launched in 2023, the Multitude biennale has established itself in two editions as one of the major cultural events of the department of Seine-Saint-Denis. Supported by the Departmental Council of 93, this popular and free event aims to place the territory on the map of major French cultural events while celebrating the exceptional richness of its human and artistic diversity.
The Parc Georges-Valbon in La Courneuve, with its 415 hectares, is one of the largest parks in Île-de-France. This "green lung" in the north of the department offers an exceptional setting for a festival as ambitious as Multitude: large lawns for open-air concerts, shaded paths for artistic strolls, and multiple spaces for installations and activities. Each edition, tens of thousands of visitors gather there for three days of festivities.
Each edition, Multitude features artists representative of the musical diversity of 93 and beyond. During the second edition in July 2025, the festival brought together artists such as Vitaa, KeBlack, Mo'Kalamity, Faada Freddy, and many others, confirming its ability to attract top headliners in an entirely free context. The musical programming encompasses urban music, soul, reggae, world music, and many other genres.
Beyond the concerts, Multitude stands out for its participatory and inclusive programming that places residents at the heart of the festival. Immersive beatmaking workshops, dance initiations (Serbian dances, gwoka, Bengali, Andean, and many others), a fashion show featuring a hundred residents dressed by Flashmode Paris, an international gastronomy village, debates, and artistic performances make up an exceptionally rich and diverse program.
Multitude is also a strong political project: that of affirming the pride and creativity of a territory too often reduced to its social difficulties. By highlighting the artists, associations, and communities that make the richness of 93, the biennale contributes to changing the perception of this department and creating a shared sense of belonging. It follows in the tradition of popular and free events that have made Seine-Saint-Denis a cultural reputation.
ℹ️ No Multitude edition in 2026. The intercultural biennial of Seine-Saint-Denis, conceived since 2023 on a biennial rhythm, will not be held in 2026: the next edition of Multitude at Parc Georges-Valbon is scheduled for 2027.
Launched in 2023, the Multitude biennial gathers tens of thousands of visitors every two years at Parc Georges-Valbon in La Courneuve for three days of free celebration of the cultural diversity of Seine-Saint-Denis. After a successful first edition in 2023 and a second in July 2025 (more than 20,000 spectators with Vitaa, KeBlack, Mo'Kalamity, Faada Freddy, fashion show, dance workshops, international gastronomic village), the Departmental Council confirmed that 2026 would be a year without Multitude — a biennial operation assumed since the launch of the event.
To allow the public to continue enjoying the park during summer 2026, the Département de la Seine-Saint-Denis is deploying its summer program Le Bel été from June 27 to August 29, 2026, in the departmental parks. Parc Georges-Valbon will be the main site between July 11 and August 2, with free concerts (Festival Métis and Meryl on July 11, Soolking and Jungeli on July 18, Mediterranean Week program on July 25, DJ Abdel on August 2), a Ferris wheel, open-air cinema on Friday evenings, a giant screen for the Football World Cup (July 14 and 19), and more than fifty sports and cultural activities. All programming remains entirely free.
The third edition of Multitude will be held in 2027 at Parc Georges-Valbon in La Courneuve. The precise dates and program will be announced in advance on the official website multitude.seinesaintdenis.fr and the social networks of Département 93. In the meantime, preparatory activities (workshops, auditions, intercultural events throughout the territory) continue as part of the biennial's long-term program.
