The Fête de la Musique in Mamoudzou

As everywhere in France and its overseas territories since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the capital of Mayotte into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over the public spaces of the city center, bringing together amateur musicians, local groups, and professional artists until late in the evening.

A festival focused on Mahoran talents

In Mamoudzou, the edition is usually organized by the City and highlights the local music scene: singers and groups from the territory, traditional music from the archipelago, and sounds from the Indian Ocean alongside pop, variety, and DJ sets. The city center and its squares serve as the setting for this popular and free celebration, open to all audiences.
