Every June 21, the city of Saint-Benoît, in the East of La Réunion, celebrates the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival): amateur musicians, emerging talents, and established groups perform for free in the streets and squares of the city center. Organized by the City of Saint-Benoît, the day is entirely free and open to all, featuring everything from local rhythms (séga, maloya) to jazz, pop-rock, rap, and dancehall.

As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms Saint-Benoît's city center into an open-air stage every June 21.
